ShowRunner's Lightweight API (LWAPI) is based CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) over UDP and provides real-time control with subscription capabilities.  Modules will be provided for Crestron S# and SIMPL Windows drop in integration by Q1 2022.

CoAP traffic is authenticated but sent in plain text.  DTLS (encrypted) support is planned.  The initial authentication token is obtained via an encrypted handshake with the HTTPS REST API.

Minimum Requirements:

• SSL Enabled on the LWAPI Host processor (Authentication enabled per Crestron best practices is recommended)
• API User created on the LWAPI Host processor
• API User and CWS User (if 3-series and auth enabled or if user page auth is enabled on 4-series) assigned to LWAPI Client remote system
