AV 3-Series Ethernet Intersystems Communication (EISC) is not reporting online in IP Table?

If an EISC is being used to integrate a Crestron AV processor with ShowRunner™, then both the lighting and the AV processors need to have their IP tables configured. ShowRunner™ will automatically set up the IP table using the IP address and IP-ID as defined when first creating the EISC, or as those attributes have been set in the "EISC" section of the ShowRunner™ configuration.
Some common reasons that the AV processor and lighting processor will report offline in each other's IP tables are:
- Incorrect IP table configuration
- Run ipt -t command to see IP table details
- The AV processor IP table should point to lighting processor's IP address, and the lighting processor IP table should point to the AV processor's IP address
- IP tables for both processors should have matching IP-ID
- Model Name should indicate same type of EISC for both processors
- ShowRunner™ uses 3-Series EISC by default, which works for both 3-Series and 4-Series integrations
- VC-4 requires additional setup and manually changing the type to Server/Client
- 2-Series integrations require manually changing to Classic EISC
- AV program should define as a 3-Series TCP/IP EISC (3-Series and 4-Series), Server/Client (VC-4), or Classic EISC (2-Series)
- ShowRunner™ uses 3-Series EISC by default, which works for both 3-Series and 4-Series integrations
- Incorrect network configuration
- Processors should be able to ping each other
- If processors are on different VLANs, verify default gateway and network router configuration are correct
- Security configuration on processors with Control Subnet when connecting via LAN
- Set up CWS users for SCIP connection on port 41796, or run the commands securegateway default and isolatenetworks off to enable non-secure (CIP on port 41794) connections from the LAN side of processors with Control Subnets
See the AV EISC page for more information and configuration details.
