Certificate Retrieval Instructions by Browser

Browsers

Microsoft Edge

  • Navigate to the web server you would like to download the certificate from
  • Click on the certificate warning on the address bar

  • Click on the area next to "Your connection to this site isn't secure"

  • Click on the cert symbol

  • Click on the "Details" tab and then "Copy to File"

  • Select DER encoding

  • Save the file to a known location on your computer

Mozilla Firefox

  • Navigate to the web server you would like to download the certificate from
  • Click on the certificate symbol

  • Click on "Connection not secure"

  • Click on "More Information"

  • Click on "View Certificate"

  • Download the cert file.  NOTE: Change the file extension from pem to cer when saving.

  • Save the file to a known location on your computer

Google Chrome

  • Navigate to the web server you would like to download the certificate from
  • Click on the certificate warning
