Scott Kohlmann 14.1 7 The [[Crestron Zūm App>>url:https://www.crestron.com/Products/Control-Hardware-Software/Software/Apps/CRESTRON-ZUM]] is used to configure the internal/local logic for Zūm Wired rooms, which dictates lighting controls behavior in standalone (non-networked) applications. The local logic will also be used prior to ShowRunnerCLC™ startup and in the event of a network or processor failure. For this reason, it is often desirable to electrical contractors to do at least some configuration prior to startup in order to get the lights up and running.

Alexander Mott 7.1 9 The Crestron Zūm App requires a Bluetooth-capable Android device and can be downloaded from the [[Google Play store>>url:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.crestron.zum]]. The [[Zūm App for iOS>>https://apps.apple.com/us/app/crestron-z%C5%ABm/id1212507034]] does not currently support Zūm Wired room configuration.

11 While Crestron lists Android 5.0 as the minimum OS requirement, Chief Integrations recommends using a device with Android 10.0 or newer.

Alexander Mott 1.1 18
19 If you cannot connect to the Zūm Room (i.e., the primary ZUMNET-JBOX for the room) using the Crestron Zūm App:
20
21 * Verify the ZUMNET-JBOX is in "zum" mode
22 * Verify that the primary ZUMNET-JBOX for the room is in "master" mode
23 * Confirm you are on an Android device (the iOS app does not currently support Zūm Wired devices)
24 * If you get an "Error 13" code:
25 ** Uninstall the app
26 ** Reboot your phone
27 ** Reinstall the app
28 ** Navigate to Android Application settings
29 ** Navigate to the Crestron Zūm App
30 ** Clear storage for the Crestron Zūm App
31 ** Open the Crestron Zūm App and accept the license agreements
32 ** Connect to the Zūm Room
Alexander Mott 16.1 33 ** When prompted, input a valid pin (default is 2468 for older firmware or 246800 for newer firmware)
34
Alexander Mott 17.1 35 Crestron recommends updating the PIN from the default. **The Crestron Agent and/or Field Tech is responsible for keeping track of any PINs, and Chief Integrations cannot provide the updated PIN if it is not already known. If the PIN is lost, then the JBOX will need to be factory reset and the room will need to be reconfigured in the App. **
