Zūm App Overview
The Crestron Zūm App is used to configure the internal/local logic for Zūm Wired rooms, which dictates lighting controls behavior in standalone (non-networked) applications. The local logic will also be used prior to ShowRunnerCLC™ startup and in the event of a network or processor failure. For this reason, it is often desirable to electrical contractors to do at least some configuration prior to startup in order to get the lights up and running.
The Crestron Zūm App requires a Bluetooth-capable Android device and can be downloaded from the Google Play store. The Zūm App for iOS does not currently support Zūm Wired room configuration.
While Crestron lists Android 5.0 as the minimum OS requirement, Chief Integrations recommends using a device with Android 10.0 or newer.

Troubleshooting
Problems Connecting to Zūm Room (Error 13)
If you cannot connect to the Zūm Room (i.e., the primary ZUMNET-JBOX for the room) using the Crestron Zūm App:
- Verify the ZUMNET-JBOX is in "zum" mode
- Verify that the primary ZUMNET-JBOX for the room is in "master" mode
- Confirm you are on an Android device (the iOS app does not currently support Zūm Wired devices)
- If you get an "Error 13" code:
- Uninstall the app
- Reboot your phone
- Reinstall the app
- Navigate to Android Application settings
- Navigate to the Crestron Zūm App
- Clear storage for the Crestron Zūm App
- Open the Crestron Zūm App and accept the license agreements
- Connect to the Zūm Room
- When prompted, input a valid pin (default is 2468 for older firmware or 246800 for newer firmware)
Crestron recommends updating the PIN from the default. The Crestron Agent and/or Field Tech is responsible for keeping track of any PINs, and Chief Integrations cannot provide the updated PIN if it is not already known. If the PIN is lost, then the JBOX will need to be factory reset and the room will need to be reconfigured in the App.
