How do I setup NUC Computer for Remote Access?

If you have a NUC and a Chief Integrations provided mobile hotspot:
- Use the included power supply to power up the NUC by plugging it in to the NUC and a wall outlet. The NUC should automatically boot up once it has power.
- Turn on the mobile hotspot and power it by plugging it in to either the NUC or a wall adapter with the included USB cable.
- Use the hotspot's screen to see connected devices and verify that the NUC is connected.
- Connect the NUC to the lighting network using the provided Cat 5e cable.
- Contact Chief Integrations for remote support and to verify that the NUC is reporting online: 866-630-3655 Option 1
If you have a NUC and a Jetpack (GL-iNet Wireless Router):
- Use the included power supply to power up the NUC by plugging it in to the NUC and a wall outlet. The NUC should automatically boot up once it has power.
- Connect the antenna to the Jetpack by screwing in both brass terminals if not already connected.
- Place the antenna as high as possible for best reception.
- Turn on the Jetpack and power it by plugging it in to either the included wall adapter or to the NUC using the included USB cable.
- Connect the NUC to the lighting network using the provided Cat 5e cable.
- Contact Chief Integrations for remote support and to verify that the NUC is reporting online: 866-630-3655 Option 1
If you have a NUC and are providing your own wireless internet connection:
- Use the included power supply to power up the NUC by plugging it in to the NUC and a wall outlet. The NUC should automatically boot up once it has power.
- Turn on your mobile hotspot or wireless router. If you want Chief Integrations to have access to your lighting network at any time, ensure that the will always available for the NUC to connect to (e.g., hotspots should be connected to a power source to charge).
- Connect the NUC to the internet by using one of the following methods:
- Configure your wireless network to match the pre-connected network:
- Change your wireless network's SSID and password to the following:
- SSID: "CI NUC"
- Password: "getmeonline"
- The NUC is preconfigured to automatically connect to a network with the above SSID and password using WPA2-Personal security
- The above network is set as a metered connection to reduce the NUC's data usage.
- Change your wireless network's SSID and password to the following:
- Connect the NUC to your wireless network using a keyboard, mouse, and monitor:
- Connect the monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the NUC
- Reach out to Chief Integrations for the Windows login credentials
- Once logged in, connect to your wireless network and check the box for "Connect Automatically"
- If your wireless network has limited data, check use the Wifi properties menu to set it as a metered connection
- Configure your wireless network to match the pre-connected network:
- Connect the NUC to the lighting network using the provided Cat 5e cable.
